Navigatioral Markers at Hexagon Shoal & Hare Island
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that caution should be exercised when navigating in the vicinity of the Hexagon Shoal and Hare Island on Lough Ree.
Masters of vessels should always ensure that they use an up-to-date navigation guide / charting system when navigating on the Shannon Navigation.
Please see chartlet for layout of navigation marker in the area.

Navigatioral Markers at Hexagon Shoal & Hare Island
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Bootsbesitzer darauf hinweisen, dass bei der Navigation in der Nähe der Hexagon Shoal und der Hare Island im Lough Ree Vorsicht geboten ist.
Kapitäne von Schiffen sollten immer sicherstellen, dass sie ein aktuelles Navigationshandbuch/Kartensystem verwenden, wenn sie auf der Shannon Navigation navigieren.
Die Anordnung der Seezeichen in diesem Gebiet entnehmen Sie bitte dem Kartenblatt.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Lanesboro Bridge

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and owners of vessels that diving operations will take place at Lanesboro Bridge tomorrow 22 March 2016 from 9:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs.

Masters are requested to give a wide berth and observe all directions issued from the safety boat.

Tarmonbarry Lock

Intended closure for works

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Tarmonbarry Lock will be closed to boating traffic from Tues 6 Oct until to Fri 23 Oct to facilitate remedial works to the lock gates.
During the works, vessels may circumnavigate the lock using the Camlin River, entering or leaving the Shannon 3km north of Tarmonbarry and similarly at Clondra Lock, immediately south of Tarmonbarry .
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.
Further information may be had by contacting Waterways Ireland’s Carrick-on-Shannon office at 07196-50563 or the lockkeeper at 087-9222020.
