Opening Times for  Sarsfield Lock Limerick

September & October 2018

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of all craft that a seasonal lock keeper has been engaged for Sarsfield Lock, Shannon Navigation, Limerick.
The attached schedule details the times when the lock is operational for navigation purposes.
The lock keeper can also be contacted during the listed operational hours on the mobile phone number, 087 7972998. Outside of operational hours a message can be left on the mobile.
Due to resource limitations only in exceptional circumstances will the lock gates be operated outside of the listed hours of operation.

Öffnungszeiten für Sarsfield Lock Limerick September & Oktober 2018
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne aller Schiffe darauf hinweisen, dass für Sarsfield Lock, Shannon Navigation, Limerick ein saisonaler Schleusenwärter engagiert wurde. Der beigefügte Zeitplan gibt die Zeiten an, zu denen die Schleuse für Navigationszwecke in Betrieb ist. Der Schleusenwärter ist auch während der angegebenen Betriebszeiten unter der Handynummer 087 7972998 erreichbar. Außerhalb der Betriebszeiten kann eine Nachricht auf dem Handy hinterlassen werden.
Aufgrund von Ressourcenbeschränkungen werden die Schleusentore nur in Ausnahmefällen außerhalb der angegebenen Betriebszeiten betrieben.

Ground Investigation Works – Killaloe

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that ground investigation works in the River Shannon at the proposed site of the new Shannon Bridge Crossing south of Killaloe will take place from Monday 10th September. The works will take 3 weeks to complete with 7 day working implemented as necessary.
The works will include a barge operating in the river Shannon south of Killaloe.
Masters of vessels are advised to proceed with additional caution in the Killaloe area during the works.

Bodenuntersuchungsarbeiten – Killaloe
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne von Schiffen und Gewässernutzern darauf hinweisen, dass die Bodenuntersuchungen im Fluss Shannon am geplanten Standort der neuen Shannon Bridge Crossing südlich von Killaloe ab Montag, den 10. September stattfinden werden. Die Arbeiten werden 3 Wochen dauern und bei Bedarf 7 Tage dauern.
Zu den Arbeiten wird ein Lastkahn im Fluss Shannon südlich von Killaloe stationiert und im Einsatz sein.
Den Schiffsführern wird empfohlen, während der Arbeiten im Bereich Killaloe zusätzliche Vorsicht walten zu lassen.
Waterways Ireland dankt allen Schiffseignern und -Kapitänen für ihre Zusammenarbeit in dieser Angelegenheit

Planned Works – Kilnacarrow Scour Project

Bord na Mona Railway Bridge North of Lanesborough

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that works on the above project will commence on 3rd September 2018 with a planned completion date of 27th September 2018.
Temporary floating pontoons will be moored at pier locations as working platforms for divers and masters are requested to navigate with caution and heed guidance from operators.
Works will commence at 06:30hrs daily and terminate at 18:00hrs.
Navigation channel will be closed between 06:30hrs and 10:00hrs daily.
Navigation channel will be open to navigation from 10:00hrs daily.

Geplante Arbeiten – Kilnacarrow Scour Projekt:

Bord na Mona Eisenbahnbrücke nördlich von Lanesborough
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne von Schiffen und Wassersportlern informieren, die am 3. September 2018 mit einer geplanten Fertigstellung am 27. September 2018 beginnen.
Temporäre Schwimmpontons werden an den Pfeilerpositionen festgemacht, da Arbeitsbühnen für Tauchsportler und Kapitäne gebeten werden, mit Vorsicht und unter Beachtung der Anweisungen der Betreiber zu navigieren.
Die Arbeiten beginnen täglich um 06:30 Uhr und enden um 18:00 Uhr.
Der Navigationskanal wird täglich zwischen 06:30 Uhr und 10:00 Uhr geschlossen.
Der Navigationskanal ist täglich ab 10:00 Uhr geöffnet.

GRAND CANAL

Traffic Restrictions Grand Canal Dock

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that a series of Dragon Boat Races will take place in Grand Canal Dock on 30th August and 15th and 16th September.
Traffic through General McMahon Bridge will be restricted from 13:00hrs to 20:00hrs on the 30th August and from 09:00hrs to 19:00hrs on the 15th and 16th September.

Fun Fin Snorkel

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the Fun Fin snorkel will take place on Sat 18th Aug 2018 from 1300hrs to1500hrs between Clondara Lock to the Camlin river and finishing at Lock 46 in Richmond Harbour.

Navigation will be restricted during this time while there are snorkelers in the water.

Masters are requested to note safety advice from event marshals and to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when approaching the area.

Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Bootsbesitzer darauf hinweisen, dass der Fun Fin Schnorchel am 18. August 2018 von 13.00 bis 15.00 Uhr zwischen der Clondara Schleuse und dem Camlin River und der Schleuse 46 in Richmond Harbour stattfinden wird.
Während dieser Zeit ist die Navigation eingeschränkt, während sich Schnorchler im Wasser aufhalten.
Die Kapitäne werden gebeten, die Sicherheitshinweise der Streckenposten zu beachten und bei der Annäherung an das Gelände mit geringer Geschwindigkeit und minimalem Wellengang vorzugehen.
