GRAND CANAL

Closure of Grand Canal at Leinster Aqueduct, Sallins

From 1st November 2018 for six Weeks

As an update to Marine Notice 88 of 2018, Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of vessels that the closure of the Grand Canal at Leinster Aqueduct, Sallins has been re-scheduled to 1st November for a period of approximately six weeks. The closure is to enable repair and re-alignment of a section of the Grand Canal to re-open the adjacent road. Water levels will also be lowered on Levels 16 & 17 of the Grand Canal to facilitate water management whilst works are ongoing, therefore navigation will also be restricted on these levels.
Waterways Ireland apologises again to its customers for any inconvenience caused by these navigation restrictions.

Schließung des Grand Canal im Leinster Aquädukt, Sallins
Ab dem 1. November 2018 für sechs Wochen
Als Aktualisierung der Marine Notice 88 von 2018 möchte Waterways Ireland die Kapitäne der Schiffe darauf hinweisen, dass die Schließung des Grand Canal in Leinster Aqueduct, Sallins, auf den 1. November für einen Zeitraum von etwa sechs Wochen verschoben wurde. Die Schließung soll die Reparatur und Neuausrichtung eines Teils des Grand Canal ermöglichen, um die angrenzende Straße wieder zu öffnen. Die Wasserstände werden auch auf den Ebenen 16 und 17 des Grand Canal gesenkt, um die Wasserbewirtschaftung während der laufenden Arbeiten zu erleichtern, weshalb die Schifffahrt auch auf diesen Ebenen eingeschränkt wird.
Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich bei seinen Kunden erneut für die Unannehmlichkeiten, die durch diese Einschränkungen der Schifffahrt entstehen.

Erne System

LIGHT UP THE LOUGH

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that ‘Light up the Lough’ is being held on Lough Erne around Castle Island and the Broadmeadows area in Enniskillen on Wednesday 31st October from 7pm. Henry Street and Waterways Ireland Headquarters jetties will be closed and will not be available for the mooring of vessels from Tuesday 30th October to facilitate this event.
No navigation will be permitted around Castle Island from 7pm during the firework and flotilla display. Masters of all craft are requested to adhere to the instruction of event marshals on the water.

Feuerwerk auf dem LOUGH
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass am Lough Erne um Castle Island und das Broadmeadows-Gebiet in Enniskillen am Mittwoch, den 31. Oktober von 19 Uhr Henry Street andWaterways Ireland die Stege der Hauptverwaltung geschlossen werden und stehen nicht für Mooring von Schiffenab Dienstag, den 30. Oktober, zur Verfügung um dieses Ereignis zu erleichtern.
Während des Feuerwerks und der Demonstration der Flotte ist ab 19.00 Uhr keine Navigation um die Burginsel herum erlaubt. Kapitäne aller Schiffe werden gebeten, sich an die Anweisungen der Veranstaltungsleiter auf dem Wasser zu halten.

Green Conical Buoy off Station

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the Green Conical Buoy north of Kid’s Island on Lough Ree is off station.
A temporary Green Buoy has been put in place. Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their cooperation.

Grüne konische Boje abseits der Station
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass die Green Conical Booy nördlich von Kid’s Insel am Lough Ree ist nicht mehr am Standort. Eine temporäre grüne Boje wurde installiert.

LOW WATER LEVELS

Cautionary Warning

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that water levels are below “Ordinary Summer Level” on all parts of the Shannon Navigation.
It is expected that Water levels will remain low in the coming weeks.
Masters of vessels, particularly those with deep drafts, are advised to navigate with additional caution and to
remain within the navigation at all times.

Vorsichtshinweis Warnung
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass der Wasserstand in allen Teilen der Shannon-Navigation unter dem „normalen Sommerpegel“ liegt. Es wird erwartet, dass der Wasserstand in den kommenden Wochen niedrig bleiben wird.
Den Kapitänen von Schiffen, insbesondere solchen mit tiefen Tiefgang, wird empfohlen, mit zusätzlicher Vorsicht zu navigieren und sich jederzeit in der Navigation aufzuhalten.

ROYAL CANAL

15th Lock Kilcock

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that the 15th Lock, Royal Canal, Kilcock – will be closed to navigation from Thursday 1st November 2018 for approx. 6 weeks to facilitate the installation of new lock gates.

The water level between the 15th Lock and Kilcock Harbour will also be lowered over this time in order to facilitate these works.

Waterways Ireland apologises for any inconvenience caused to its users.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne der Schiffe darauf hinweisen, dass das 15. Lock, Royal Canal, Kilcock – ab Donnerstag, den 1. November 2018 für ca. 6 Wochen für die Schifffahrt geschlossen sein wird, um die Installation neuer Schleusentore zu erleichtern.
Auch der Wasserstand zwischen der 15. Schleuse und dem Kilcock Harbour wird in dieser Zeit gesenkt, um diese Arbeiten zu erleichtern.
Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich für die Unannehmlichkeiten, die seinen Nutzern entstehen.
