Grand Canal – Shannon Harbour
Quay Wall Repair,
25th September to mid-November
Temporary Navigation markers
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and waterway users that it will be carrying out maintenance works on a damaged section of the north quay wall in Shannon Harbour.
Works will begin on Monday the 25th of September and will last approx. 7 weeks, hours of work 9am to 5pm. A section of the harbour wall will be closed off to boat users during this time.
The access road to the north of Shannon harbour will be closed to public traffic and only local traffic will be permitted.
Water Levels in Shannon Harbour may have to be lowered for a time to allow these works to be completed.
Four temporary red navigation markers are in place on the south side of the works location to aid navigation through the area.

Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne von Schiffen und Wasserstraßenbenutzer darauf hinweisen, dass an einem beschädigten Abschnitt der nördlichen Kaimauer im Shannon Harbour Wartungsarbeiten durchgeführt werden.
Die Arbeiten beginnen am Montag, dem 25. September, und werden ca. 7 Wochen dauern, Arbeitszeiten von 9 bis 17 Uhr. Während dieser Zeit wird ein Teil der Hafenmauer für Bootsfahrer gesperrt sein.
Die Zufahrtsstraße nördlich des Shannon Harbour wird für den öffentlichen Verkehr gesperrt und nur der örtliche Verkehr wird zugelassen.
Der Wasserstand im Shannon Harbour muss unter Umständen vorübergehend gesenkt werden, damit die Arbeiten abgeschlossen werden können.
Auf der Südseite der Baustelle sind vier vorübergehende rote Schifffahrtszeichen aufgestellt, um die Navigation durch das Gebiet zu erleichtern.
