Erne System – Enniskillen

Erne Eights Head of The River Rowing Race

Saturday 1st March 2025

Waterways Ireland wishes to inform Lough Erne ‘Inter-Lough’ waterway users that the Erne Eights Head of the River Rowing Race will take place on Saturday, 1st March 2025. This annual event, hosted by Enniskillen Royal Boat Club, will feature approximately 80 rowing crews competing along the River Erne.

Navigation & Safety Advisory:
Rowing boats and support craft will be active on the water from 0900hrs to 1700hrs and will have right of way during this period.
The race will commence upstream of the Killyhevlin Hotel and finish at Enniskillen Royal Boat Club.
The downstream sections of the Round ‘O’ Jetty will be closed for the duration of the event.

• • • Masters of vessels are requested to follow all instructions from race marshals and safety boats, and to keep the racecourse clear.
    • When passing rowing crews and race officials, vessel wash must be kept to a minimum to ensure safety.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Nutzer der Lough Erne ‚Inter-Lough‘ Wasserstraße darüber informieren, dass das Erne Eights Head of the River Rowing Race am Samstag, den 1. März 2025 stattfinden wird. Bei dieser jährlich stattfindenden Veranstaltung, die vom Enniskillen Royal Boat Club ausgerichtet wird, werden etwa 80 Rudermannschaften auf dem Fluss Erne gegeneinander antreten.

Hinweis zu Navigation und Sicherheit:
Ruderboote und Begleitfahrzeuge werden von 0900 Uhr bis 1700 Uhr auf dem Wasser sein und haben in dieser Zeit Vorfahrt.
Die Regatta beginnt flussaufwärts vom Killyhevlin Hotel und endet im Enniskillen Royal Boat Club.
Die stromabwärts gelegenen Abschnitte des Round ‚O‘ Jetty werden für die Dauer der Veranstaltung gesperrt sein.

• • • Die Bootsführer werden gebeten, allen Anweisungen der Streckenposten und der Sicherheitsboote Folge zu leisten und die Regattastrecke freizuhalten.
    • Beim Vorbeifahren an Ruderern und Rennleitern ist die Abwaschung der Schiffe auf ein Minimum zu beschränken, um die Sicherheit zu gewährleisten.
