Barrow Line 26th Level Closure – Quay Wall Refurbishment
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the Barrow Line and Barrow Blueway will be closed to vessel and pedestrian traffic from a point 500m north of Vicarstown Bridge to the Camac Aqueduct south of Vicarstown, to enable essential quay wall refurbishment works at Vicarstown Harbour. Please note:

- Closure will commence on Monday, 13 October 2025, and will remain in place for approximately 14 weeks, early 2026.
- Mooring in Vicarstown Harbour and navigation in this section will not be possible during the works, as the canal will be dried out.
- Vessels currently moored in Vicarstown Harbour will be accommodated at a designated area to the north of the closure.
- To facilitate this, temporary mooring posts will be installed by 3 October 2025.
- All vessels must vacate Vicarstown Harbour and the closure area by Sunday, 12 October 2025.
- Any vessels remaining after this date will be relocated by Waterways Ireland to alternative moorings outside the closure area.
- Waterways Ireland thanks its waterway users for their cooperation and patience while these essential works are carried out.

Barrow Line 26. Sperrung – Sanierung der Kaimauer
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Eigner von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass die Barrow Line und die Barrow Blueway für den Schiffs- und Fußgängerverkehr von einem Punkt 500 m nördlich der Vicarstown Bridge bis zum Camac-Aquädukt südlich von Vicarstown gesperrt werden, um notwendige Sanierungsarbeiten an der Kaimauer im Hafen von Vicarstown durchzuführen. Bitte beachten Sie:

- Die Sperrung beginnt am Montag, dem 13. Oktober 2025, und wird etwa 14 Wochen bis Anfang 2026 andauern.
- Während der Arbeiten ist das Anlegen im Hafen von Vicarstown und die Schifffahrt in diesem Abschnitt nicht möglich, da der Kanal trockengelegt wird.
- Schiffe, die derzeit im Hafen von Vicarstown vor Anker liegen, werden in einem ausgewiesenen Bereich nördlich der Sperrung untergebracht.
- Zu diesem Zweck werden bis zum 3. Oktober 2025 temporäre Anlegepfähle installiert.
Alle Schiffe müssen den Hafen von Vicarstown und den Sperrbereich bis Sonntag, den 12. Oktober 2025, verlassen haben. - Alle nach diesem Datum verbleibenden Schiffe werden von Waterways Ireland an alternative Anlegeplätze außerhalb des Sperrbereichs verlegt.
