Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and waterway users that the obstruction blocking the navigation between Reddan’s Quay (Tuamgraney) and Scarriff Harbour has now been removed, and the navigation is clear.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and waterway users that the navigation between Reddan’s Quay (Tuamgraney) and Scarriff Harbour is blocked due to a fallen tree.
Waterways Ireland operations section will be on site tomorrow (July 22nd) to commence with removing the obstruction.

Juli 2025 Dringende Navigationsgefahr: Umgestürzter Baum Etwa 50 Meter flussaufwärts von Reddan’s Quay (Tuamgraney) – Scarriff River Waterways Ireland möchte Schiffsführer und Wasserstraßennutzer darauf hinweisen, dass die Schifffahrt zwischen Reddan’s Quay (Tuamgraney) und Scarriff Harbour aufgrund eines umgestürzten Baumes blockiert ist. Die Betriebsabteilung von Waterways Ireland wird morgen (22. Juli) vor Ort sein, um mit der Beseitigung des Hindernisses zu beginnen. Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich für die Unannehmlichkeiten und bedankt sich für Ihre Mithilfe bei der Gewährleistung einer sicheren Schifffahrt. Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and waterway users that the IWAI Shannon Boat Rally will take place at the following locations and dates:
26th & 27th July (Saturday & Sunday): The rally fleet will meet in Roosky.
28th & 29th July (Monday & Tuesday): Drumsna. (Competitions taking place en route).
30th July (Wednesday): The rally fleet will anchor in rosette formation on Oakport Lake (weather permitting).
31st July & 1st August (Thursday & Friday): Lough Key.
2nd & 3rd August (Saturday & Sunday): Carrick-on-Shannon. The rally fleet will be divided between Carrick Boat Club, Butler’s marina, and Emerald Star marina.
Where possible, masters of vessels not participating in the Rally are kindly asked to accommodate IWAI Rally vessels berthing at the identified locations.
All waterway users are requested to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the rally flotilla, as a higher than usual number of vessels will be present.

Shannon Navigation, Ausgestellt: 21. Juli 2025 IWAI Shannon Boat Rally – 26. Juli bis 3. August 2025 Waterways Ireland möchte Schiffskapitäne und Wasserstraßennutzer darauf hinweisen, dass die IWAI Shannon Boat Rally an folgenden Orten und Terminen stattfinden wird:
26. 27. Juli (Samstag und Sonntag): Die Rallye-Flotte treffen in Roosky.
28. und 29. Juli (Montag und Dienstag): Drumsna. (Wettbewerbe finden unterwegs statt).
30. Juli (Mittwoch): Die Rallye-Flotte wird in Rosettenformation auf dem
31. Juli und 1. August (Donnerstag und Freitag): Lough Key
2. und 3. August (Samstag und Sonntag): Carrick-on-Shannon. Die Rallye-Flotte wird zwischen dem Carrick Boat Club, dem Butler’s Marina und dem Emerald Star Marina aufgeteilt.
Kapitäne von Schiffen, die nicht an der Rallye teilnehmen, werden gebeten, IWAI-Rallye-Schiffe an den angegebenen Orten unterzubringen, sofern dies möglich ist. Alle Wasserstraßennutzer werden gebeten, in der Nähe der Rallye-Flotte vorsichtig zu navigieren, da dort mehr Schiffe als üblich unterwegs sein werden. Waterways Ireland wishes to inform masters of vessels that the pump-out facilities at Keshcarrigan and Ballinamore, County Leitrim, on the Shannon-Erne Waterway, are currently out of service.
Keshcarrigan Pump-Out. Repair works have been scheduled, and the facility is expected to be operational again by 25 July, 2025.
Ballinamore Pump-Out. This facility has been out of service since November 2024 due to ongoing upgrade works to the service block. A new installation is planned, but no fixed completion date is currently available.

Shannon-Erne-Waterway, Ausstellungsdatum: 18. Juli 2025 PumpOutanlagen in Keshcarrigan und Ballinamore – Vorübergehende Ausfälle – Verlängerung der Reparaturarbeiten Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer darüber informieren, dass die PumpOutanlagen in Keshcarrigan und Ballinamore, County Leitrim, an der Shannon-Erne-Wasserstraße derzeit außer Betrieb sind. PumpOutstation Keshcarrigan: Reparaturarbeiten sind geplant, und die Anlage wird voraussichtlich bis zum 25. Juli 2025 wieder betriebsbereit sein. Ballinamore Pump-Out. Diese Anlage ist seit November 2024 aufgrund laufender Modernisierungsarbeiten am Serviceblock außer Betrieb. Eine neue Installation ist geplant, aber derzeit steht noch kein fester Fertigstellungstermin fest. Waterways Ireland bedauert die dadurch entstehenden Unannehmlichkeiten und dankt allen Kunden für ihre Geduld und Zusammenarbeit während dieser Zeit.
Navigation and Mooring, Restrictions, Sunday, 3rd August, 2025
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and users of the Shannon Navigation that there will be navigation and mooring restrictions in Carrick-on-Shannon to facilitate the Rowing Club Regatta on Sunday 3rd August 2025.
The regatta will be held on the 500 metres stretch of water immediately south of the town bridge commencing at 0830hrs and finishing at approx. 1800hrs.
Craft wishing to make a through passage will be facilitated every 2 hrs approximately during the regatta.
Masters should note that ONLY vessels of an overall length of 22ft. / 6.8m or less will be permitted on the floating jetties from Thursday 31st July to Sunday 3rd August 2025 and there will be no public access to these moorings during the event.
This is necessary in the interest of marine safety and to facilitate the laying of the competition course.
Vessels berthed from Thursday 31st July at 1600hrs will be required to remain in place until racing finishes at approx. 1800hrs on Sunday 3rd August.
Masters are advised to proceed at slow speed and with due caution and to take note of advice from course marshals when passing through the area.

Shannon Navigation, Ausgestellt: 16. Juli 2025, Carrick on Shannon Ruderregatta Beschränkungen für die Schifffahrt und das Anlegen, Sonntag, 3. August 2025 Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne und Nutzer der Shannon-Schifffahrt darauf hinweisen, dass es in Carrick-on-Shannon zu Einschränkungen der Schifffahrt und des Anlegens kommen wird, um die Ruderclub-Regatta am Sonntag, dem 3. August 2025, zu ermöglichen. Die Regatta findet auf einer 500 Meter langen Strecke unmittelbar südlich der Stadtbrücke statt und beginnt um 08:30 Uhr und endet gegen 18:00 Uhr. Boote, die eine Durchfahrt wünschen, werden während der Regatta etwa alle 2 Stunden durchgelassen. Kapitäne sollten beachten, dass vom Donnerstag, 31. Juli, bis Sonntag, 3. August 2025, NUR Schiffe mit einer Gesamtlänge von 22 Fuß/6,8 m oder weniger an den Schwimmstegen anlegen dürfen und dass diese Anlegestellen während der Veranstaltung für die Öffentlichkeit nicht zugänglich sind. Dies ist im Interesse der Sicherheit auf See und zur Erleichterung der Einrichtung der Wettkampfstrecke erforderlich. Boote, die ab Donnerstag, dem 31. Juli, um 16:00 Uhr anlegen, müssen bis zum Ende des Rennens am Sonntag, dem 3. August, um ca. 18:00 Uhr an ihrem Platz bleiben. Kapitäne werden gebeten, mit langsamer Geschwindigkeit und mit der gebotenen Vorsicht zu fahren und die Anweisungen der Streckenposten zu beachten, wenn sie das Gebiet passieren. Waterways Ireland bedankt sich bei seinen Kunden für ihre Zusammenarbeit bei diesen Vorkehrungen.
