Locks: Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that all 16 locks on the Shannon-Erne Waterway will be out of service from Friday 22nd December 2023 to Monday 1st January 2024 inclusive. No lock passage by boat will be possible during this period. Normal service will resume at 0900 on Tuesday 2nd January 2024. Service Blocks:
The Ballyconnell Service Block is currently closed due to the upgrading works at the facility. The Service Blocks at Aghalane and Haughton’s shore, Ballinamore, Keshcarrigan and Leitrim Village shall remain open. Trails:

Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Benutzer darauf hinweisen, dass die Roosky Bridge am Dienstag, den 5. Dezember, wegen Taucharbeiten gesperrt wird. Die Tarmonbarry-Brücke wird am Mittwoch, den 6. Dezember, wegen Taucherarbeiten gesperrt.
Operation of Locks 35 & 36 – Extended to 15 December
Due to the ongoing works at Shannon Harbour, Waterways Ireland wish to advise its customers that with immediate effect, passage through Locks 35 and 36 on the Grand Canal will only be possible by prior arrangement with the Waterway Patroller. This system will be in place until 15th December 2023.
Operation of the locks will be controlled by the Waterway Patroller and only during working hours. Working hours are as follows:
September 27th – October 31st: 09:30am to 4:45pm (Lunch break: 1:00pm to 1:30pm)
November 1st – March 15th: 09:30am to 2:00pm (Lunch break: 1:00pm to 1:30pm)

Grand Canal – Shannon Harbour Betrieb der Locks 35 und 36 – verlängert bis 15. Dezember Aufgrund der laufenden Arbeiten im Shannon Harbour möchte Waterways Ireland seine Fahrgäste darauf hinweisen, dass die Durchfahrt durch die Schleusen 35 und 36 auf dem Grand Canal ab sofort nur noch nach vorheriger Vereinbarung mit dem Waterway Patroller möglich ist. Dieses System wird bis zum 15. Dezember 2023 in Kraft sein. Der Betrieb der Schleusen wird von den „Waterway Patroller“ kontrolliert, und zwar nur während der Arbeitszeiten. Die Arbeitszeiten sind wie folgt:
27. September – 31. Oktober: 09:30 Uhr bis 16:45 Uhr (Mittagspause: 13:00 Uhr bis 13:30 Uhr)
1. November – 15. März: 09:30 Uhr bis 14:00 Uhr (Mittagspause: 13:00 Uhr bis 13:30 Uhr)
