Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and users of the Royal Canal that the canoe polo competition on Saturday 30th July & Sunday 31st July 2022 has been cancelled. Waterways Ireland takes this opportunity to thank its customers for their co-operation with these arrangements.
Royal Canal, Clondra – Richmond Harbour – Kanu-Polo Samstag 30. Juli & Sonntag 31. Juli 2022, Abgesagt Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und alle Benutzer des Royal Canal darüber informieren, dass der Kanupolo-Wettbewerb am Samstag, den 30. Juli und Sonntag, den 31. Juli 2022 abgesagt wurde. Waterways Ireland bedankt sich bei dieser Gelegenheit bei seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation bei diesen Veranstaltungen.
Navigation and Mooring Restrictions Sat 30th July & Sun 31st July 2022
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and users of the Royal Canal, of navigation and mooring restrictions in Richmond Harbour to facilitate a canoe polo competition on Saturday 30th July & Sunday 31st July 2022 between 08.30 and 17.30 daily. No vessels should moor in the harbour during this time. Please note, in the interest of Health & Safety it will not be possible for vessels to enter or exit the harbour during the event. Waterways Ireland takes this opportunity to thank its customers for their co-operation with these arrangements.
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters and users that in order to facilitate the annual Abbott Longford marathon road race on Sunday 28 August 2022 lifting bridge operations will be restricted accordingly.
The following air draft restrictions will apply to the lifting bridges, which will be closed during the time periods indicated below.
Royal Canal – Begnagh Bridge
The bridge will be closed from 0730hrs to 1000 hrs. The Lock keeper may be contacted on 00 353 087 9151400.
Shannon Navigation – Tarmonbarry Bridge (0845 hrs to 1200 hrs)
The air draft at Tarmonbarry at Ordinary Summer Level is 7’9″ (2.35m). TheLock keeper can be contacted during lock opening hours at 00 353 (0)43 3326117 or 087 9222020 for further information.
Shannon Navigation – Rooskey Bridge (0930 hrs to 1245 hrs)
The air draft at Roosky Bridge at Ordinary Summer Level is 10ft (3.025m). There is an air draft gauge erected at the bridge on both Upper and Lower approaches. The Lock keeper can be contacted during lock opening hours at 00 353 (0)71 96 38018 for further information.

Shannon Navigation & Royal Canal, Tarmonbarry-, Rooskey- und Begnagh-Bridges Abbott Longford Marathon 28. August 2022 Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne und Bootsbenutzer darauf hinweisen, dass der Betrieb der Hebebrücken für den jährlichen Abbott Longford Marathon am Sonntag, den 28. August 2022, entsprechend eingeschränkt wird. Die folgenden Tiefgangsbeschränkungen gelten für die Hebebrücken, die während der unten angegebenen Zeiträume geschlossen sein werden. Royal Canal – Begnagh Bridge Die Brücke wird von 0730 Uhr bis 1000 Uhr geschlossen sein. Der Schleusenwärter kann unter der Telefonnummer 00 353 087 9151400 kontaktiert werden. Shannon Navigation – Tarmonbarry-Brücke (0845 Uhr bis 1200 Uhr) Der Luftzug bei Tarmonbarry beträgt bei normalem Sommerwasserstand 2,35 m (7’9″). Der Schleusenwärter kann während der Schleusenöffnungs-zeiten unter 00 353 (0)43 3326117 oder 087 9222020 für weitere Informationen kontaktiert werden. Shannon Navigation – Rooskey Bridge (0930 Uhr bis 1245 Uhr) Der Luftzug an der Roosky Bridge beträgt bei normalem Sommerpegel 3,025 m (10 Fuß). An der Brücke ist sowohl an der oberen als auch an der unteren Zufahrt ein air draft gauge angebracht. IWAI 60. Shannon Bootsrallye, 22. bis 31. Juli 2022 Aktualisiert Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass die Shannon Boat Rally vom 22. bis 31. Juli 2022 auf dem Lough Ree stattfinden wird. Die Route der Rallye ist wie folgt: Freitag, 22. Die Zweige treffen sich getrennt. Ballyleague (Zweigstelle Carrick) und Coosan Point (Branch Athlone).
Samstag und Sonntag, 23./24: Portrunny
Montag und Dienstag, 25./26: Lough Ree Yacht Club
Mittwoch 27: Rosettenbildung in Ballykeeran Lough
Donnerstag & Freitag 28/29: Coosan Point/Dunrovin
Samstag und Sonntag, 30./31: Hodson Bay.
