Green Conical 1248 – Off Station

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters and owners of vessels that the green conical aid to navigation No. 1248, upstream of Parteen Weir, is currently off station.
Mariners are requested to exercise care when navigating in this area.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass die grüne kegelförmige Schifffahrtshilfe Nr. 1248 stromaufwärts von Parteen Weir derzeit außer Betrieb ist.
Die Schifffahrtsteilnehmer werden gebeten, bei der Navigation in diesem Gebiet Vorsicht walten zu lassen.

Lock 22 – Repair works, 03-06 October

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters and owners of vessels that essential repair works will be taking place at Lock 22 (Cappyroe Bridge) from Tuesday 03 October to Friday 06 October 2023. Due to these works, navigation will not be possible through the area during this time.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Grand Canal, Lock 22 – Reparaturarbeiten, 03-06 Oktober
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass von Dienstag, dem 03. Oktober, bis Freitag, dem 06. Oktober 2023, an der Schleuse 22 (Cappyroe Bridge) wichtige Reparaturarbeiten durchgeführt werden. Aufgrund dieser Arbeiten wird die Schifffahrt in diesem Zeitraum nicht möglich sein.
Waterways Ireland bedauert jegliche Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Notice of Lock Closures

Scheduled Electricity Outage

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters and owners of vessels that Locks 9 to 14 on the Shannon-Erne Waterway will be out of service on THURSDAY 05TH OCTOBER 2023 FROM 09:30 TO 16:00hrs. No lock passage by boat will be possible during this period. It is expected that normal service will resume at 16:00hrs.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Geplante Stromunterbrechung
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass die Schleusen 9 bis 14 auf dem Shannon-Erne-Wasserweg am Donnerstag, 05. Oktober 2023 von 09:30 BIS 16:00 Uhr außer Betrieb sein werden. Während dieser Zeit ist keine Schleusenpassage mit dem Schiff möglich. Es wird erwartet, dass der normale Betrieb um 16:00 Uhr wieder aufgenommen wird.
Waterways Ireland bedauert alle Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Pump Out Station

Waterways Ireland wishes to inform masters of vessels and waterway users that the Pump Out Station unit at Dromod Harbour is currently non-operational while repairs are proceeding. Please refrain from using this unit until further notice.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Royal Canal

The Downs

Temporary closure of lifting bridge until 12 October 2023

Waterways Ireland wishes to inform masters of vessels and waterway users on the Royal Canal that The Downs Lifting Bridge will be closed for canal traffic effective immediately. This closure is to facilitate emergency repairs due to vandalism.
The bridge will return to normal operations on Thursday 12th October.
Waterways Ireland wishes to apologise for any inconvenience that this temporary closure may cause its customers.

Royal Canal, Die Downs
Vorübergehende Schließung der Hebebrücke bis zum 12. Oktober 2023
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und Wasserstraßenbenutzer auf dem Royal Canal darüber informieren, dass die Hebebrücke The Downs ab sofort für den Kanalverkehr gesperrt wird. Diese Sperrung dient der Durchführung von Notreparaturen aufgrund von Vandalismus.
Die Brücke wird am Donnerstag, dem 12. Oktober, wieder in Betrieb genommen.
Waterways Ireland bittet um Entschuldigung für die Unannehmlichkeiten, die diese vorübergehende Schließung für die Benutzer mit sich bringen könnte.
