Roosky Lock & Lifting Bridge

Closure Tuesday 23rd July 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels that Roosky Lock and Lifting Bridge will be closed Tuesday 23rd July 2024 from 0900hrs to 1700hrs. This closure is due to a planned ESB outage in the area.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass das Roosky Lock und die Lifting Bridge am Dienstag, den 23. Juli 2024 von 0900 Uhr bis 1700 Uhr geschlossen werden. Grund für die Schließung ist ein geplanter Stromausfall der ESB in diesem Gebiet.
Waterways Ireland bedauert alle Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Service Block Out of Order

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and users of the Shannon Navigation that Coosan Point service block is out of order due to an ESB fault in the area.
There may be some disruption to electrical supply to the jetties also. The ESB are working on repairing the issue and we expect the service block to be back in operation by the weekend.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience caused at this time.

Waterways Ireland at work — Coosan Point

Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer und Nutzer der Shannon Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass der Serviceblock am Coosan Point aufgrund einer Störung des ESB in diesem Bereich außer Betrieb ist.
Auch die Stromversorgung der Anlegestellen kann unterbrochen sein. Der ESB arbeitet an der Behebung der Störung und wir erwarten, dass der Serviceblock bis zum Wochenende wieder in Betrieb sein wird.
Waterways Ireland bedauert alle Unannehmlichkeiten, die zu diesem Zeitpunkt entstehen.

Portora Lock Closure,

19th July 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels that Portora Lock in Enniskillen will be closed to boat traffic on Friday 19th July from 0700 to 1030hrs. This is to accommodate essential maintenance work on the lock gates.

Please adhere to all instructions given by safety personnel in the area.
Waterways Ireland wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused, and thanks its customers for their co-operation.

Waterways Ireland weist die Schiffsführer darauf hin, dass das Portora-Lock in Enniskillen am Freitag, den 19. Juli von 7.00 bis 10.30 Uhr für den Schiffsverkehr geschlossen wird. Grund dafür sind notwendige Wartungsarbeiten an den Schleusentoren.
Bitte befolgen Sie alle Anweisungen des Sicherheitspersonals in diesem Bereich.
Waterways Ireland bittet um Entschuldigung für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation.

Barrow Navigation – Graiguenamanagh

Notice of Quay Wall Inspection

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters and owners of vessels that the Quay Wall between the Canoe Steps and the Slipway will be closed to all vessels on the 7th August 2024 to facilitate Survey & Inspection works.
This closure will be active on WEDNESDAY 7th August from 08:00 to 17:00 hrs.
Waterways Ireland requests that all vessels vacate this area for the period stated above.
This notice does not affect the operation of the Canoe Steps & Slipway which remain open during this period.
Any craft remaining in this area on Wednesday 7th August will be removed to alternative mooring.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Barrow Navigation – Graiguenamanagh, Ankündigung einer Kaimauerinspektion
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass die Kaimauer zwischen den Kanutreppen und der Slipanlage am 7. August 2024 für alle Schiffe gesperrt wird, um Vermessungs- und Inspektionsarbeiten durchzuführen.
Diese Sperrung wird am MITTWOCH, den 7. August von 08:00 bis 17:00 Uhr aktiv sein.
Waterways Ireland bittet alle Schiffe, dieses Gebiet während des oben genannten Zeitraums zu verlassen.
Der Betrieb der Kanutreppe und der Slipanlage ist von dieser Bekanntmachung nicht betroffen, da diese während dieses Zeitraums geöffnet bleiben.
Alle Boote, die sich am Mittwoch, den 7. August, noch in diesem Bereich befinden, werden an einen anderen Liegeplatz gebracht.

Castle Island – Water Activity Area

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and users of the Erne System that the channel east of Castle Island, Enniskillen is closed until 30th September 2024.
This is to create a water activity area. The designated area will be clearly marked by signal and floating buoys. See below layout.
Access to Castle Museum Jetty will be maintained when approaching from the north of Castle Island.
Mariners should use the navigation channel to the west of Castle Island and proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash adhering to any instructions or displayed signage. Mariners should be aware of small non-motorised craft also operating in the navigation.

Enniskillen, Castle Island – Bereich für Wasseraktivitäten
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne und Benutzer des Erne-Systems darüber informieren, dass der Kanal östlich von Castle Island, Enniskillen, bis zum 30. September 2024 geschlossen ist.
Dies geschieht, um ein Wasseraktivitätsgebiet einzurichten. Das ausgewiesene Gebiet wird durch Signal- und Schwimmbojen deutlich gekennzeichnet sein. Siehe Grundriss unten.
Der Zugang zum Castle Museum Jetty wird aufrechterhalten, wenn man sich von Norden der Castle Island nähert.
Seeleute sollten die Fahrrinne westlich von Castle Island benutzen und sich mit langsamer Geschwindigkeit und mit minimaler Wäsche fortbewegen, wobei sie sich an alle Anweisungen und angezeigten Schilder halten sollten. Die Schifffahrtsteilnehmer sollten sich der kleinen nicht motorisierten Fahrzeuge bewusst sein, die ebenfalls in der Fahrrinne verkehren.
