Clarendon Lock

Closure from Tuesday 1st November 2022

Installation of replacement lock gates.
Waterways Ireland wishes to inform masters of vessels and waterway users that Clarendon Lock will be closed from Tuesday 1st November 2022 to facilitate the replacement of the upstream lock gates. It is expected that the work will take 3 months to complete.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und die Nutzer der Wasserstraße darüber informieren, dass die Clarendon-Schleuse ab Dienstag, dem 1. November 2022, geschlossen wird, um den Austausch der stromaufwärts gelegenen Schleusentore zu ermöglichen. Es wird erwartet, dass die Arbeiten 3 Monate dauern werden.
Waterways Ireland bedauert alle Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Closure from 02 November 2021 to January 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels on the Shannon Navigation that Clarendon Lock will be closed from 02 November 2021 until January 2022 due to essential works required to the lock in advance of replacement of lock gates during Winter 2022/23.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their understanding in relation to this matter.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen auf der Shannon Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass das Clarendon Lock vom 02. November 2021 bis Januar 2022 wegen notwendiger Arbeiten an der Schleuse im Vorfeld des Austauschs der Schleusentore im Winter 2022/23 geschlossen sein wird.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.

Boyle River, Clarendon Lock, Lock Gate Fault

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the upstream gate, on the lockhouse side, at Clarendon Lock is not fully operational and as a result passage is restricted to one gate width only until further notice.
Masters are requested to approach the upstream gates at slow speed and with minimum wash and to follow directions issued by the lockkeeper.
Waterways Ireland apologises for any inconvenience caused by this restriction and thanks its customers for their cooperation.

Improvement Works

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that paving, ducting and surfacing upgrade works will be carried out at Clarendon Lock from 13th April 2015 for approximately three weeks and disruption may be experienced during this time.

Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause its customers.
