Lanesborough

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and owners of vessels that intermittent diving operations will take place at Lanesboro Bridge on Mon 26 September.
Delays may be experienced. Masters are requested to give a wide berth and observe all directions issued from the safety boat in attendance.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Die Pegel steigen zur Zeit nicht weiter.

Am 13. Dezember war der Wasserstand in Banagher mit 4, 24m auf seinem Höchststand. Danach entspannte sich die Lage und die Wasserstände sind für kurze Zeit nicht weiter angestiegen. Nach den ergiebigen Regenfälle der letzten Tage stieg der Shannon kontinuierlich vor und nach den Feiertagen an.

Hier die aktuellen Pegelstände von heute 03.01.2016 21:00 Uhr.

Heute morgen war der Pegel mit 4,43 m in Banagher auf einem neuen Höchststand, höher als bei der Flut im Jahr 2009.
Im Anhang sind einige Fotos von der Lage in Banagher, die mir Barbara von Silverline freundlicherweise zur Verfügung gestellt hat.

Wir hoffen weiter für unsere Freunde in Irland, das in den kommenden Tagen keine weiteren dauerhaften  Regenfälle sich einstellen werden und sich die Hochwasserlage dadurch entspannen wird.

Castleconnell

Head of River Rowing Regatta Sat 31 Oct 2015

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and users of the Shannon Navigation that the Castleconnell Head of River rowing regatta will take place on Sat 31 Oct from 0800hrs until 1900hrs.
The course will be laid on Fri 30th Oct and removed on Sun 1st Nov.
Masters are advised to proceed at slow speed and with due caution and to take note of advice from course marshals when passing through the area.
Waterways Ireland takes this opportunity to thank its customers for their co-operation with these arrangements.

Masters are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when approaching and departing the harbour.

THE WATERWAYS MID-SUMMER FESTIVAL

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that water based activities will take place on the Shannon – Erne Waterway at Leitrim Village on Sat 21st Jun 2014 between 1500hrs and 1800hrs.

Masters are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when passing this stretch of the navigation and note any advice given by safety boat crew.
