Portora Lock Closure, 14 Oct 2020

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of all craft that Portora Lock in Enniskillen will be temporarily closed to boat traffic from 09:00 to 17:00hrs on Wednesday 14th October 2020. This is to accommodate essential maintenance works to the Lock gates.

Master of Vessels are requested to follow instructions from safety personnel in the area.

Waterways Ireland wishes to apologise for any inconvenience that this closure may cause our customers.

Schließung der Portora-Schleuse, 14. Oktober 2020
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne aller Boote darauf hinweisen, dass die Portora-Schleuse in Enniskillen am Mittwoch, 14. Oktober 2020, von 09:00 bis 17:00 Uhr vorübergehend für den Bootsverkehr geschlossen wird. Damit sollen wesentliche Wartungsarbeiten an den Schleusentoren durchgeführt werden.
Die Schiffskapitäne werden gebeten, den Anweisungen des Sicherheits-personals in diesem Gebiet Folge zu leisten.
Waterways Ireland möchte sich für etwaige Unannehmlichkeiten entschuldigen, die diese Schließung unseren Kunden bereiten könnte.

Closure of Tow Path (South) Plunkett Bridge to Turraun

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all users of the Grand Canal from Plunkett Bridge at Pollagh to Turraun that the Southern tow path will be closed from Monday 12 October 2020 to 1 March 2021 for the purpose of construction a cycle/walk path.
Waterways Ireland thanks it customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Sperrung des Tow Path (Süd) Plunkett-Brücke nach Turraun
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Nutzer des Canal Grande von der Plunkett-Brücke bei Pollagh bis Turraun darauf hinweisen, dass der südliche Treidelpfad von Montag, dem 12. Oktober 2020, bis zum 1. März 2021 wegen des Baues eines Rad-/Wanderweges gesperrt wird.

Royal Canal Dublin

Navigation Closure to facilitate lock gate repairs

Waterways Ireland wishes to notify users of the canal navigations that the Royal Canal in Dublin requires repair / upgrading works to Link to ArcGis Webside Lock 12, Lock 10  and Spencer Dock Sea Lock before any of these locks can be used again for passage through the city.
Consequently, navigation in or out of the city on the Royal Canal is suspended until completion of all works.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their understanding in this matter.

Royal Canal Dublin
Navigationsschließung zur Erleichterung von Schleusentorreparaturen
Waterways Ireland möchte die Nutzer der Kanalschifffahrt darüber informieren, dass der Royal Canal in Dublin Reparatur-/Ausbauarbeiten an Link to ArcGis Webside Lock 12, Lock 10 und der Seeschleuse Spencer Dock erforderlich sind, bevor eine dieser Schleusen wieder für die Durchfahrt durch die Stadt genutzt werden kann.
Infolgedessen wird die Schifffahrt in oder aus der Stadt auf dem Königlichen Kanal bis zum Abschluss aller Arbeiten ausgesetzt.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.

Dredging Operations, From 01 October for 3 weeks

Waterways Ireland wishes to inform boaters that there will be some restriction on movement through the downstream channel of Cutts lock for 3 weeks from Thursday 1st Oct due to essential dredging works.
Boaters should contact the lock keeper at the Cutts lock in advance of travel to ensure passage is viable.

Baggerarbeiten, ab 01. Oktober für 3 Wochen
Waterways Ireland möchte die Bootsfahrer darüber informieren, dass es ab Donnerstag, dem 1. Oktober, für 3 Wochen aufgrund wesentlicher Baggerarbeiten eine gewisse Einschränkung der Bewegung durch den stromabwärts gelegenen Kanal der Schleuse Cutts geben wird.
Bootsfahrer sollten sich vor der Fahrt mit dem Schleusenwärter an der Schleuse Cutts in Verbindung setzen, um sicherzustellen, dass die Durchfahrt machbar ist.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all users of the Barrow Navigation, that, in order to facilitate the fixing of new deep gates, Upper Ballyellen Lock on the Barrow Navigation will be closed to navigation from Wednesday 14th October for 8 weeks approx.

Ab 14. Oktober 2020 für 8 Wochen
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Benutzer der Barrow-Schifffahrt darauf hinweisen, dass die Schleuse Upper Ballyellen Lock on the Barrow Navigation ab Mittwoch, dem 14. Oktober, für ca. 8 Wochen für die Schifffahrt gesperrt wird, um die Anbringung neuer tiefer Tore zu erleichtern.
