Lough Allen, Acres Lake, Dromod, Summer Cove
Swimming – Advisory Notice

Waterways Ireland wishes to all waterways users that a swimming advisory notice is in place for Lough Allen, Acres Lake, Dromod and Summer Cove.
Leitrim County Council has advised that swimming is not recommended at these locations due to reports of poor water quality.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Swimming – Advisory Notice

Schwimmen – Warnhinweis
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Wasserstraßenbenutzer darauf hinweisen, dass für Lough Allen, Acres Lake, Dromod und Summer Cove ein Badeverbot gilt.
Das Leitrim County Council hat mitgeteilt, dass das Schwimmen an diesen Orten aufgrund von Berichten über schlechte Wasserqualität nicht empfohlen wird.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Pollboy lock gates
Restricted operation until Saturday 24 July 2021
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels and users of the Shannon Navigation and River Suck that Pollboy lock gates are on restricted operation until Saturday 24 July 2021.
Vessels with a beam in excess of 12 feet will not be able to through the lock until AM Saturday 24 July 2021.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Eingeschränkter Betrieb bis Samstag, 24. Juli 2021
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und Benutzer der Shannon Navigation und des River Suck darauf hinweisen, dass die Pollboy-Schleusentore bis Samstag, den 24. Juli 2021, nur eingeschränkt in Betrieb sind.
Schiffe mit einer Breite von mehr als 12 Fuß können bis Samstag, den 24. Juli 2021 vormittags nicht durch die Schleuse fahren.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Low water levels on summit level

Cautionary advice

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that low water levels are being experienced on the summit level of the Royal Canal. Water levels are currently down 300mm.
Masters of vessels are advised to proceed with additional caution and to contact the water patroller for latest advice and assistance.
Waterways Ireland apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Niedrige Wasserstände auf dem Scheitelpunkt
Vorsorglicher Hinweis
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Bootsbesitzer darauf hinweisen, dass auf der Scheitelhöhe des Royal Canal ein niedriger Wasserstand zu verzeichnen ist. Der Wasserstand ist derzeit um 300 mm gesunken.
Kapitäne von Schiffen werden gebeten, mit zusätzlicher Vorsicht vorzugehen und die Wasserwacht zu kontaktieren, um aktuelle Ratschläge und Unter-stützung zu erhalten.
Waterwaysireland entschuldigt sich für die entstandenen Unannehm-lichkeiten.
