Portumna Area, Ballymacegan Island

Diving Operations, 01 to 12 June 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that a diving operation and underway survey will take place in the vicinity of Ballymacegan Island and Tiranascragh from Wed 01 June to Sun 12 June 2022. These locations are approx. 8km upstream of Portumna Bridge.
Safety vessels will be supporting the diving operation and temporary markers will be deployed to mark the dive area.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed with additional caution in the vicinity of Ballymacegan Island and Tiranascragh from Wed 01 June to Sun 12 June 2022.

Gebiet Portumna, Ballymacegan Island, Tauchoperationen, 01. bis 12. Juni 2022
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass von Mittwoch, den 01. Juni, bis Sonntag, den 12. Juni 2022, in der Nähe von Ballymacegan Island und Tiranascragh ein Taucheinsatz und eine Unterwasseruntersuchung stattfinden werden. Diese Orte befinden sich ca. 8 km stromaufwärts von der Portumna-Brücke.
Sicherheitsschiffe werden die Tauchoperationen unterstützen, und es werden vorübergehend Markierungen angebracht, um das Tauchgebiet zu kennzeichnen.
Schiffskapitäne werden gebeten, in der Nähe von Ballymacegan Island und Tiranascragh von Mittwoch, dem 01. Juni, bis Sonntag, dem 12. Juni 2022, zusätzliche Vorsicht walten zu lassen.

IFI Fish Stock survey, 07 to 25 June 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that an IFI Fish stock survey will take place on Lough Ree from 07 to 25 June 2022.
Survey nets will be set in up to 100 locations on Lough Ree depending on weather and other factors. All nets will be marked with orange buoys and identified with “IFI Survey” markings. IFI vessels will be operating by day and night during the survey.
Masters of vessels are requested to maintain a sharp lookout while underway on Lough Ree and to give all marked buoys a wide berth.

Lough Ree; IFI-Fischbestandserhebung, 07. bis 25. Juni 2022
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass vom 07. bis 25. Juni 2022 eine IFI-Fischbestandserhebung im Lough Ree stattfinden wird.
Je nach Wetterlage und anderen Faktoren werden an bis zu 100 Stellen im Lough Ree Netze ausgelegt. Alle Netze werden mit orangefarbenen Bojen markiert und mit der Kennzeichnung „IFI Survey“ versehen. Die IFI-Schiffe werden während der Erhebung bei Tag und Nacht im Einsatz sein.
Die Kapitäne der Schiffe werden gebeten, während der Fahrt auf dem Lough Ree genau Ausschau zu halten und allen markierten Bojen einen großen Bogen zu machen.

HBA 21st Anniversary Rally

Sat 28 May to Mon 06 June 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that the Heritage Boat Association will be celebrating its 21st anniversary with a rally that will take place in Ballinasloe Harbour from Sat 28 May to Mon 06 June 2022.
Masters of vessels are advised that up to 30 heritage vessels will be moored in Ballinasloe during the rally.

Rallye zum 21. Jahrestag der HBA, Sa 28. Mai bis Mo 06. Juni 2022
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass die Heritage Boat Association ihr 21-jähriges Bestehen mit einer Rallye im Hafen von Ballinasloe vom 28. Mai bis zum 06. Juni 2022 feiern wird.
Die Schiffsführer werden darauf hingewiesen, dass während der Rallye bis zu 30 historische Schiffe in Ballinasloe festmachen werden.

Bridge and Lock – Reopened to navigation

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and water users that Tarmonbarry Bridge and Lock have been reopened to navigation. Essential maintenance works are continuing at Tarmonbarry Bridge and some minor delays may be experienced.

Waterways Ireland apologies for any inconvenience caused and wishes to thank its customers for their cooperation.

Brücke und Lock – Wieder für die Navigation geöffnet
Waterways Ireland möchte Schiffskapitäne und Wasserbenutzer darüber informieren, dass die Brücke und die Schleuse von Tarmonbarry wieder für die Schifffahrt freigegeben wurden.
An der Tarmonbarry-Brücke werden weiterhin wichtige Wartungsarbeiten durchgeführt, so dass es zu kleineren Verzögerungen kommen kann.
Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich für die entstandenen Unannehmlich-keiten und dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation.

Canoe Polo Event – 14/15 May and 4/5 June 2022

Waterways Ireland would like to advise masters and owners of vessels that a canoe polo event will be taking place in Mullingar Harbour on 14th/15th May and 4th/5th June of 2022 between 1000 and 16.00 each day.

Masters of craft are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash and note any directions issued by the stewards. The harbour should be kept clear of moored vessels during this time.

Kanu-Polo-Veranstaltung – 14/15 Mai und 4/5 Juni 2022
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Bootsbesitzer darauf hinweisen, dass im Hafen von Mullingar am 14. und 15. Mai sowie am 4. und 5. Juni 2022 jeweils zwischen 1000 und 16.00 Uhr ein Kanupolo-Event stattfindet.
Die Schiffsführer werden gebeten, mit langsamer Geschwindigkeit und möglichst wenig Wellengang zu fahren und die Anweisungen der Stewards zu beachten. Der Hafen sollte während dieser Zeit von festgemachten Schiffen freigehalten werden.
