Battlebridge / Leitrim Re-Open

Waterways Ireland advises masters of vessels on the Shannon Navigation and the Shannon–Erne Waterway that the section of river between Leitrim and Battlebridge is open with immediate effect.
Following prioritised works by a dive team and Waterways Ireland boat crew, the image below shows the location of new navigational conical / post markers and the navigable channel.
Waterways Ireland appreciates the patience and cooperation of waterway users during this disruption and apologises for the inconvenience caused.

Waterways Ireland teilt den Schiffsführern auf dem Shannon und dem Shannon–Erne-Wasserstraßennetz mit, dass der Flussabschnitt zwischen Leitrim und Battlebridge mit sofortiger Wirkung wieder befahrbar ist.
Nach vorrangigen Arbeiten durch ein Tauchteam und die Bootsbesatzung von Waterways Ireland zeigt das untenstehende Bild die Position der neuen konischen/pfostenförmigen Navigationsmarkierungen und des schiffbaren Fahrwassers.
Waterways Ireland bedankt sich für die Geduld und die Zusammenarbeit der Wasserstraßennutzer während dieser Beeinträchtigung und entschuldigt sich für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten.
