Killaloe – Swim Event

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that a swim event will take place in Killaloe as part of the 33rd Annual Féile Brian Ború Festival 2026.

- Swim Event details:
- Saturday, 4 July 2026
- Water activity and safety operations 11:00–12:00 hrs
- Swim commences at 11:30 hrs
- The swim event consists of a 500-metre swim from Pier Head (adjacent to the Coast Guard Station) to Killaloe Library, north of the Old Bridge

Navigation & Safety Advisory:

- During the event, vessel navigation will be restricted to the eastern side of the river channel north of the Old Bridge
- Vessel movement on and off the Waterways Ireland Killaloe jetties is prohibited during the swim event
- Navigation in the main channel must comply with all instructions from event marshals and safety boats

Waterways Ireland weist die Schiffsführer darauf hin, dass im Rahmen des 33. jährlichen Féile Brian Ború Festivals 2026 in Killaloe eine Schwimmveranstaltung stattfindet.

- Samstag, 4. Juli 2026
- Wasseraktivitäten und Sicherheitsmaßnahmen 11:00–12:00 Uhr
- Start des Schwimmens um 11:30 Uhr
- Die Schwimmveranstaltung umfasst eine 500-Meter-Strecke vom Pier Head (neben der Küstenwache) zur Killaloe Library nördlich der Old Bridge

Hinweise zur Navigation und Sicherheit:

- Während der Veranstaltung ist die Schiffsnavigation auf die östliche Seite des Flusslaufs nördlich der Old Bridge beschränkt
- Das An- und Ablegen an den Anlegestellen von Waterways Ireland in Killaloe ist während der Schwimmveranstaltung untersagt
- Die Schifffahrt im Hauptkanal muss allen Anweisungen der Veranstaltungshelfer und Sicherheitsboote entsprechen
