Lowtown to Shannon Harbour

Re-Opening of the Locks as of 8 June 2020

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and users of the Grand Canal Rural – Lowtown to Shannon Harbour of the following information regarding the re-opening of the Locks from 8th June 2020:

Lock operating Hours – 08th to 29th June – 09:30hrs to 17:00hrs daily.

If you need assistance during opening hours please contact the water patrollers on the Grand Canal at the following numbers:-

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Benutzer des Grand Canal von Rural – Lowtown to Shannon Harbour über die folgenden Informationen bezüglich der Wiedereröffnung der Schleusen ab dem 8. Juni 2020 informieren:

Schleusenöffnungszeiten – 08. bis 29. Juni – täglich von 09:30 Uhr bis 17:00 Uhr.

Wasser- Patrouille

Wenn Sie während der Öffnungszeiten Hilfe benötigen, wenden Sie sich bitte an die Wasserpatrouillen auf dem Canal Grande unter den folgenden Nummern:-

Shannon Navigation

Carrick on Shannon and Hartley Bridges

Low hanging wires

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and users of the Shannon Navigation that there are low hanging wires on Carrick on Shannon and Hartley bridges.
Waterways Ireland is in communication with the relevant agencies to arrange removal of the navigation hazards.
Vessels with a large air draft are advised to proceed with additional caution when passing under Carrick on Shannon and Hartley bridges until the wires are removed.

Carrick on Shannon- und Hartley-Brücke
Niedrig hängende Drähte
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Nutzer der Shannon Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass es auf den Shannon- und Hartley-Brücken niedrig hängende Drähte an Carrick gibt.
Waterways Ireland steht in Kontakt mit den zuständigen Behörden, um die Beseitigung der Gefahren für die Schifffahrt zu veranlassen.
Schiffen mit großer air draft wird empfohlen, bei der Unterquerung der Carrick on Shannon- und Hartley-Brücken mit zusätzlicher Vorsicht vorzugehen, bis die Drähte entfernt sind.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Zusammenarbeit in dieser Angelegenheit.

Re-opening of the Locks

Operating times from 8th June 2020

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and users of the Shannon Navigation of the following information regarding the reopening of the Locks from 8th June 2020:

Lock Operating Hours (Phase 2)

8th to 29th June

9am – 5pm daily

Lock Passage fee

Lock passage will be free from 8th June until further notice.

Low Water Levels

Master of vessels are reminded that all sections of the Shannon Navigation are near or below Ordinary Summer Levels. Deep draft vessels should stay in the navigation at all times and proceed with additional caution.

Wiedereröffnung der Schleusen – Betriebszeiten ab 8. Juni 2020

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Nutzer der Shannon-Schifffahrt auf die folgenden Informationen bezüglich der Wiedereröffnung der Schleusen ab dem 8. Juni 2020 hinweisen:

Betriebszeiten der Schleusen (Phase 2)

8. bis 29. Juni

täglich von 9 bis 17 Uhr

Schleusen Durchgangsgebühr

Die Schleusendurchfahrt wird ab dem 8. Juni bis auf weiteres frei sein.

Niedrige Wasserstände

Die Schiffskapitäne werden daran erinnert, dass alle Abschnitte der Shannon-Navigation in der Nähe oder unterhalb der gewöhnlichen Sommer-Niveaus liegen. Schiffe mit tiefem Tiefgang sollten zu jeder Zeit in der Navigation bleiben und mit zusätzlicher Vorsicht vorgehen.

Grand Canal – Cappincur Area

Closure of Southern Towpath between Digby Bridge at Cappincur and Ballycommon Bridge

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise their customers that the towpath on south side of the Grand Canal between Digby Bridge at Cappincur and Ballycommon Bridge will be closed to users from the 8th June 2020 to the 7th September 2020 to facilitate the construction of the Grand Canal greenway.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their co-operation in this matter.

Schließung des südlichen Towpath zwischen der Digby-Brücke bei Cappincur und der Ballycommon-Brücke
Waterways Ireland möchte seine Kunden darauf hinweisen, dass der Treidelpfad auf der Südseite des Grand Canal zwischen der Digby-Brücke bei Cappincur und der Ballycommon-Brücke vom 8. Juni 2020 bis zum 7. September 2020 für Benutzer gesperrt wird, um den Bau der Grünfläche des Grand Canal zu erleichtern.

LOW WATER LEVELS – CAUTIONARY WARNING

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and users of the Shannon-Erne Waterway that water levels have dropped below Ordinary Summer Levels due to low rainfall in recent weeks.
Masters of vessels, particularly those with deep drafts, are advised to navigate with additional caution and to remain within the navigation at all times.

SEW NIEDRIGE WASSERSTÄNDE – VORBEUGENDE WARNUNG
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Nutzer des Shannon-Erne-Wasserweges darauf hinweisen, dass die Wasserstände aufgrund der geringen Niederschläge der letzten Wochen unter die normalen Sommerpegel gefallen sind.
Schiffskapitäne, insbesondere solche mit tiefem Tiefgang, werden gebeten, mit zusätzlicher Vorsicht zu fahren und stets innerhalb der Navigation zu bleiben.
