Masters and users of the Lower Bann are advised that a Smart Card system will be introduced at all locks on the Lower Bann from 01 July 2018. Masters of vessels will be able to use a Smart Card or pay in cash until 01 September 2018. From 01 September 2018 payment will be by Smart Card only.
The cost of the lock passage on the Lower Bann will cost 1 unit. The lock passage on the Shannon-Erne Waterway will remain at 1 unit. The 10 unit card costs €6.35/£5.55 and the 20 unit card costs €12.70/£11.10.

Where bridge lifting is required at Tarmonbarry and Rooskey, a combined toll payments for the lock and bridge will be taken at the Lock.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of all craft that a seasonal lock keeper has been engaged for Sarsfield Lock, Shannon Navigation, Limerick.
The attached schedule details the times when the lock is operational for navigation purposes.
The lock keeper can also be contacted during the listed operational hours on the mobile phone number, 087 7972998. Outside of operational hours a message can be left on the mobile.
Due to resource limitations only in exceptional circumstances will the lock gates be operated outside of the listed hours of operation.‘

Dieses Foto zeigt die Airdraft downstream an der Eisenbahnbrücke und wurde im vergangenen Jahr am 27. April aufgenommen. Die Durchfahrtshöhe war normal mit 3,75 Meter gemessen. Upstream befindet sich ebenfalls eine Airdraft Anzeige.
Dermot Killeens Berichte zeigen 2,8 Meter Wasserstand an der Kaimauer an Shannonbridge am 28. April.

Masters and users of the Shannon Navigation are advised that the Lough Derg Sprint Triathlon will take place on Sat 16th June from 0900 hrs until 1300 hrs at Dromineer, Co Tipperary.
Masters are requested to proceed at slow speed and due care when in the vicinity of the event.
Masters are further requested to note any advice given by race marshals when approaching the course.

Lough Derg Sprint Triathlon
Meister und Nutzer der Shannon Navigation werden darauf hingewiesen, dass der Lough Derg Sprint Triathlon am 16. Juni von 9.00 Uhr bis 13.00 Uhr in Dromineer, Co Tipperary stattfindet. Die Meister werden gebeten, in der Nähe der Veranstaltung mit langsamer Geschwindigkeit und Sorgfalt vorzugehen.
