Further to Marine Notice No 118 / 2014 Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that where faults occur on the supply of fresh water and /or electricity at our moorings and service blocks during this period repairs will be effected commensurate with general maintenance priorities and owners should take precautionary steps if either of these services are required on an on-going basis.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the access ramp to the Clonmacnoise floating mooring has been removed for the winter period.
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners to take due care with rising water levels as lead-in jetties to locks become submerged and are untenable as moorings.
Also, the mooring lines of vessels berthed in harbours for the winter period should be tended to frequently in the rising water conditions to avoid damage to the vessel or mooring infrastructure.
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise its customers that the metered electric power supply at the Round O moorings in Enniskillen will be turned off over the winter months.
The shore power supply will be discontinued from 14th November 2014 until Easter 2015.

Grand Canal – Main Line
Sallins, Co. Kildare
The canal and the public jetty have opened following recent construction works. The longer-term moorings will remain closed until the services are available at this jetty
Lock 29, Ballycowan to Lock 30, Rahan
Closed from 13th October 2014 to late December 2014 for structural repairs to Charleville Aqueduct.
Grand Canal – Barrow Line
Glenaree Bridge to Rathangan Bridge
Closed from 28th October 2014 to early January 2015 for winter dredging.
Spencer Bridge to Wilson Bridge
Closed from January 2015 to mid March 2015 for winter dredging.
Vicarstown
Closed from 29th October to end of November 2014 for essential repairs to Vicarstown Bridge.
Royal Canal
Spencer Dock, Newcomen Bridge
There will be no further lifts of Newcomen railway bridge until the 2015 boating season.
1st Level, Portland Place
Structural repairs to the towpath will be undertaken from the end of October 2014 to late December 2014 – the canal will be closed for the duration of the works.
35th Level, Balroe, Co. Westmeath
Closed from 13th October 2014 until further notice for essential construction works.
Barrow Navigation
Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow
Closed at Bagenalstown mid March for essential repairs.
