Ardnacrusha Lock

Closure to Facilitate Essential Maintenance

20 January to 02 March 2020

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that Ardnacrusha Lock will be closed from 20th January to 2nd March 2020 to facilitate essential maintenance works.

Waterways Ireland apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks all vessel owners for their co-operation.

20. Januar bis 02. März 2020
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Gewässernutzer darauf hinweisen, dass die Ardnacrusha-Schleuse vom 20. Januar bis zum 2. März 2020 geschlossen ist, um wesentliche Wartungsarbeiten zu erleichtern.
Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich für die verursachten Unannehmlichkeiten und dankt allen Schiffseignern für ihre Mitarbeit.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the railway bridge waiting Jetties in Limerick have been removed for the winter months. The jetties will be reinstalled in March 2020.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass an der Eisenbahnbrücke, die Warteanleger, für die Wintermonate entfernt wurden. Die Anlegestellen werden im März 2020 wieder installiert.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Besuchern für die Zusammenarbeit.

Limerick – Railway Jetties Removal for Winter Period

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the railway bridge waiting Jetties in Limerick have been removed for the winter months. The jetties will be reinstalled in March 2019.

Limerick – Entfernung der Railway Jetties für den Winterbetrieb
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Schiffseigentümer darauf hinweisen, dass der Jettie an Eisenbahnbrücke, in Limerick, für die Wintermonate entfernt wurde. Die Anlegestellen werden im März 2019 wieder eingebaut.

Temporary Closure

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all users that due to unforeseen emergency works being required, Custom House Quay jetties are temporarily closed.
It is anticipated that repair works should be completed within a few days.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause its customers.

Sarsfield Lock and Upstream

Approaches from Abbey River

and Revised Lock Operating Schedule

Marine Notice No 105 refers. Waterways Ireland wishes to advise that following survey of this section of the navigation greater siltation than expected has been noted.

The navigable channel on the approaches to the lock will now be marked with buoys. As this is a narrower channel than previously available masters are requested not to berth at the lead-in jetty and are advised also to make their approach to the lock in single file.

Please note the following revised times for lock operations which are subject to change.

Thursday 11th August 1pm to 4pm
Saturday 13th August 11am to 2pm
Thursday 18th August 9am to 12pm
Saturday 20th August 10am to1pm
Thursday 25th August 9am to12pm
Saturday 27th August 10am to 1pm
Thursday 1st September 9am to12pm
Saturday 3rd September 10am to 1pm
Thursday 8th September 12pm to 3pm
Saturday 10th September 2pm to 5pm

The lock keeper can be contacted at the following number 087-7972998 only during the hours of operation as shown above when he will be in attendance to operate the lock.
